No Mr. Potter, you cannot tempt me
I will not be reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, at least not until the movie comes out.
Yes, I'm aware that's 3 movies away, if they even make it that far. Nevertheless.
On the other hand, this resolve might go as well as my plans to avoid Star Wars: Episode One during opening week. That didn't turn out as I expected, I ended up seeing it on opening day at Grauman's Chinese Theatre with the entire crowd of freaks that waited for more than a month in line.
So who knows, maybe I'll break down and read the rest of the Potter books. So far I've just read the first two.
This or That: Summer Fun
1. Lemonade or Ice Cold Beer? Lemonade. I dislike the taste of beer.
2. Swimming pool or beach? Swimming pool or stream/lake. I feel self-conscious at a beach, plus with all the pollution near the city they aren't sanitary.
3. Long weekends here & there, or a 2-week vacation? 2-week vacation. I'm going by preference, not what I get more of.
4. Destination: Acapulco or Hawaii? Acapulco, but both are kinda tourist-trappy.
5. Destination: Mountains or Beach? Mountains.
6. Hotel/motel/B&B or camping? Camping.
7. Carefully planned vacation, or play it by ear? Carefully planned. I would play it by ear, except that it's usually been a business vacation, plus Amira prefers a solid plan.
8. Sneakers or sandals? Sneakers.
9. Air-conditioning or fans? Air-conditioning. Preference again, currently sitting near a fan because I can't afford an air-conditioner.
10. Concerts in the park or baseball games? Concerts. Watching baseball bores me.
