Warhammer goes RMT?
The title on this post sums up what I think of Mythic's new recruit-a-friend prizes. Spend real money to get a sidekick / apprentice feature that should have been in the game in the first place? Very poor form.
Mythic is sinking pretty low on this one. It makes me glad I'm done with that game, because this would have made me cancel my account in a hot second.

a) It's a free month's subscription if you invite a friend and they subscribe, and several other MMO's have this, and it's a good idea, and you get something where you previously got nothing.
b) You also get a pet which is complete fluff, and so why would you care whether somebody who invites a friend gets one
c) There's also a 5% XP buff if you successfully sign up 4 people. Oooohh.

@Melf_Himself: I don't mind the other bonuses for recruiting, fluff items and time credits are perfectly normal and expected. You missed the key part tho.
What's low is using a much-requested significant feature that they've always had the internal support for (levels are ramped for Scenarios):
"grants the wielder the power of Apprenticeship, allowing him to temporarily raise a realm-mate's level to within two of his own"
That's not a fluff item. That's sidekick / apprentice, tied to additional currency transactions.

Really, its about the apprentice feature (you know, the only bonus for recruiting that Rog even mentioned). It is a feature NOT in the game and there is no other way to obtain it.
Someone like me (and Rog) would be SOL if i wanted this. When WAR came out Rog and I each bought a copy of the game for ourselves, plus, copies for other people. We also made sure all our friends (real life and online) who play games bought the game and signed up too.
The ONLY way we could obtain the apprentice feature would be to buy it by signing up 4 fluff accounts, and thats not something i would do(and needless to say, not something Rog would do!) I dont like RMT's in games, and that would be one.
I dont play WAR anymore but i was still pissed when i saw this. its the fact that they took the time to make and implemnt the feature but not make it avalible to all players that erks me. If i was still playing, i would be even more pissed off.

Most of the players who would care about this have already left Warhammer.
